Australia all-rounder Cameron Green is set for a Test return. The 25-year-old was named in the 15-member squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) finale at Lord's from June 11 to 15. The all-rounder has also been named for Australia's tour of the Caribbean, announced by Cricket Australia on Tuesday, May 13. Green is returning to the team after a long layoff from a back injury. The all-rounder last played a Test match in 2024.
Apart from Green, the squad also sees the return of skipper Pat Cummins and quick bowler Josh Hazlewood, who both missed Sri Lanka series and the subsequent Champions Trophy due to injuries. Both players made a comeback to competitive cricket in the IPL 2025 season.
However, Hazlewood missed RCB's last game with a shoulder niggle, and is also a doubtful starter for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season. Brendan Doggett is the only traveling reserve named in the WTC and Caribbean squads by Australia.
Chair of Selectors George Bailey happy with squad selected
"We are fortunate and looking forward to having Pat (Cummins), Josh (Hazlewood) and Cam (Green) back in the squad," said chair of selectors George Bailey. "The team finished the WTC cycle with an impressive series victory in Sri Lanka following an equally strong summer in defeating India for the first time in a decade.
"Those series capped a consistent performance across the two-year cycle and now present us with the incredibly exciting opportunity to defend the World Test Championship. It means a lot to the group to reach the final and they are very much looking forward to the challenge South Africa will present at Lord's."

Beau Webster retains his place after a promising start to his Test career
Another notable inclusion in the squad is all-rounder Beau Webster, who made his Test debut in the Border Gavaskar Trophy against India. He impressed one and all with his all-around skills and temperament. Opening batter Sam Konstas is also included in the squad after missing out in the Sri Lanka series.
