Rajasthan Royals (RR) are currently hosting Mumbai Indians in a must-win game at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. RR won the toss and opted to bowl first.
The Royals are heading into this game after a brilliant win against Gujarat Titans on the back of Vaibhav Suryavanshi's maiden IPL ton. Now, they have a job on their hands against MI who have got themselves off to a brilliant start.
Rohit Sharma (42 runs off 27 balls) and Ryan Rickelton (55 runs off 33 balls) have got the Mumbai Indians off to a rollicking start. Jofra Archer's second over, which won for 18 runs, gave Mumbai the kickstart that they needed inside the powerplay. After the end of the powerplay, MI scored 58 for no loss.

Rohit-Ryan Stand Takes RR By Surprise
After the powerplay, Kumar Kartikeya bowled his first over and gave just six runs. Inside the powerplay, Fazalhaq Farooqi ( 18 runs in 2 overs) and Maheesh Theekshana (20 runs in 2 overs) went for big runs inside the powerplay.
After the power play, Rohit and Rickelton kept the charge on as they scored quick runs. Akash Madhwal, playing his first game for RR went for 10 runs. Kumar Kartikeya, who played previously for MI went for 20 runs off his first two overs. The southpaw brought up his fifth in the ninth over as he and Rohit had he best opening stand for MI so far in the season. After 10 overs, MI scored 99 runs for no loss, setting the launchpad for the second half of the innings as the southpaw brought up his fifty of the season.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Sharma has been ruled out of the remainder of the IPL for Rajasthan Royals. He is ruled out with a fractured finger as per reports that he picked up in the game against Gujarat Titans.
This is the 11th game for the Rajasthan Royals, who have just three out of their first 10 games. A win against GT gave themselves the lifeline to remain in the hunt for the playoffs. They have to win this game against MI and their remaining three games to remain in playoff contention.
