Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) takes on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in match 26 of IPL 2025 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 12. This is the first of the two games, starting at 3:30 PM IST. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) takes on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the second match of the day in Hyderabad, starting at 7.30 PM IST.
There is immense pressure on Rishabh Pant to perform with the bat in the remaining season for LSG. There is pressure on him to lead the team with intent as well. LSG was lucky to win their last game against KKR by just four runs in a high-scoring encounter. Pant's leadership and batting have been severely questioned so far.
There is little to choose between the top six teams on the IPL 2025 points table at the moment. The table is changing with every game. Rishabh Pant's form is the biggest concern for Lucknow Super Giants heading into this contest. He was the most expensive player this season. However, his returns with the bat have been nominal. In his first four innings, he scored 0, 15 runs, 2 runs and, 2 runs. He did not get to bat against KKR. The bowling attack is also a matter of concern, with it being majorly inexperienced. Speaking about Gujarat Titans, the top order has fired in unison so far for the side. The majority of the run-scoring has been done by Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharshan and Jos Buttler. The trio forms a deadly combination at the top. Sherfane Rutherford and Shahrukh Khan have got some runs in the last few games playing as a finisher. Mohammed Siraj has been a brilliant signing for GT. He has already picked up 10 wickets from five games and is third on the Purple Cap list at the moment. Rashid Khan, after remaining wicketless in the previous three games, took two wickets in the last match. However, he has been a touch expensive this season. Eyes will be on him as well as on how he goes about his business in Lucknow.
