The Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh series continues with the T20I series after the Lankans bagged the Test and the ODI series. The first T20I will be played in Pallekele starting at 7:00 PM IST.
The first Test ended in a draw. Sri Lanka won the second Test by an innings and 78 runs and then swept the ODI series 3-0. Bangladesh were rather ordinary and their overall inexperience as a side was exposed in the series. From man management to senior players not stepping up, there are too many loopholes in the side at the moment.
Charith Asalanka continues to lead the side in the T20I series. Sri Lanka, though received a massive blow with Wanindu Hasaranga ruled out of the series with a hamstring injury. Bangladesh will be led by Litton Das.

Pallekele hosted the third ODI with the hosts scoring 285 runs for seven wickets with Kusal Mendis scoring a century and Charith Asalanka a half-century. It is a very good wicket to bat on with some pace early on and spinners coming into effect as the match wears on. Given that the venue will host the first T20I, we can expect even flatter wickets for batting with the bowlers expected to go for runs. This might be a high-scoring contest.
